I have two baby sugar gliders, they are both around 5 months old. As of right now, i feed them baby food (applesauce), hard food, and carrots or grapes each night. I'm afraid this is not the correct diet, so can someone please tell me what i should be feeding my babies. Thank-you.

Oops, sorry about that I accidentally hit the follow up button. I think most glider owners use Bourbon's Modified Leadbeaters mix. What you can do is go to the links section of this site. Once your there go to Bourbon's page which should be the second one down.On that link, I believe it is the third column across there is a link for a diet page. On that page there are like three different diets, but I use Bourbon's. If you stick to that and some fruits and veggies you should do fine. I also give my glider some Glideraid about twice a week.

Your diet needs protein. Sugar gliders need 30% protein in their diet and they also need vegetables! Fruit is definitely not the only thing that should be in a sugar gliders diet. The best proven diet there is right now is the BML leadbeaters and with that diet you are feeding your gliders BML leadbeaters, fruit, vegetables, and insects.

Angie is right - your glider needs some protein - crickets, mealworms, boiled egg microwaved chicken or turkey - no skin, fat seasonings...Mine love a natural nonfat yogurt too - nothing with aspartame or a bunch of additives, please.
