Hi!!! I'm new at this sugar glider stuff. I need some information on them!!!!! Like what they eat, cages, how much will this all cost? Please help!!! My brother and i were thinking about getting one. Please help and soon!!!!!!!!

I will do a brief thing on what u listed.
The eat the Leadbeaters Mix (a diet consisting of 75% fruit and vegetables, 25% protien. They esspecially like tropical fruit. Just make sure they don't get obbesse.
They need really big cages.
The gliders cost from 75 bucks to 400. I would be suspicious if it was sold for 75 or under. You need to buy toys, cage, pouch, need to find out vet the vets bills in emergany. That'll cost...u figure it out.
You need to do A LOT more research on the net and in books before you get one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm new at this, too, so I can't tell you everything, other than thate you really need to do some reserch before you get one. i have been to 3 web sites and read 1 book.
gliders cost between $75& $ 300. the cages usually cost another 100, and, you can get all your food needs at www.exotic.com

Please purchase and read Caroline MacPherson's book SUGAR GLIDERS (publisher Barrons) before deciding if you have the time for a glider and realize that this is a 12-15 year commitment...It really isn't fair to dump the gliders if you get tired of them. Can you imagine how you'd feel if your parents got tired of taking care of you after a few months and decided to give you away or sell you?? If you are up to the commitment go for it; gliders are absolutely wonderful companions and everything I do for mine is done with love..I cannot imagine my life without gliders.
