Gideon and Simcha are most certainly on the leadbeaters diet with the Repcal. My vet also suggested putting in an extra dusting of the calcium for the time being (not indefinately-- just til his bones are a bit stronger). I think the other night was a bit of a misunderstanding. I don't think I was being clear in my anxiety. Although I considered trying his favorite foods loaded with calcium, you _quickly_ convinced me that wasn't okay. From that point on I was planning on forcefeeding him, though I was VERY concerned about it. At the time I didn't understand why you all were so frustrated with me. NOw, I understand that although I was expressing my worries about forcefeeding him, I hadn't told you that I was planning on doing it no matter how much I hated the idea. Now I can understand that it sounded like I was giving excuses why not to do it, rather than expressing my fears about the upcoming feat. I'm sorry I wasn't clear and I'm sorry I was so dense I couldn't figure out why you were all so frustrated with me. In the future I will try to communicate my intentions as well as my fears and expect less mindreading on your part. I hope I'm forgiven? As far as my friend coming on-line later... she was using my computer, but did NOT have my permission to speak for me. I was not happy with her for that. At that point I still wasn't in a place to have been much clearer or I would have explained that then, myself. I must say she was well intended but stepped over the boundary in concern. Between being scared for Gideon and a whopping case of the flu, I was a mess that night. Thankfully, now both Gideon and I are starting to mend, though we've both got a ways to go Thank you for everything.

I'm moving this up, hoping that there's no reply cause it's too far down the page & could go un-noticed.
