i found some loose stools on the floor this morning while my guys were playing, it's the first i've ever seen, don't know which of the three did it. hope it was a one time thing. its hard having more than one of any pet and trying to fiugure out whose sick. they all acted fine, running and playing. and nothing was in their beds. i fed them the usual, nothing new. had barley cereal in thier glider aide and chicken and carrots and raisins. (the raisins were actually new, haven't had any in months- wonder if they caused it???) i might by pedialyte to keep on hand for emergencies. hope all is well with them.

I can't help you out except to say that when my daughters were young I always had Pedialyte available in my house. I think you should go buy some, and I will too. I don't think it goes bad if not opened.

i don't think i knew what pedialyte was when mine were little. i always have juices of sorts for the little guys but i hear about pedialyte enough now i guess i should have some available, however i do have rice cereal i've been letting them finger lick all day today. no one appears to feel bad. they all act the same as usual. when they get up tonight i'm going to be watching them poop though.

Collette-

Keep an eye on them, but there's a good chance it was the raisins that caused it. I noticed that sometimes raisins would give mine the runs, too. Try using fresh grapes instead.

FYI, Pedialyte expires within days after opening a bottle (check the label) -- I get the pedialyte "popsicles" (plastic sleeves that you can freeze, though I leave it as liquid) instead -- they last a whole lot longer.

dawn, thanks for that info, i wouldn't have kept it open long, i throw any of thier canned or bottle foods out after 2-3 days, i don't know what size the pedialyte comes in but the sleeve things sound neat. didn't know they existed. i have't noticed any behavior changes or more runs. every time i went by thier cage yesterday i opened thier pouch to ruffle them and they all seemed normal, and crabby cos i woke them!!! gave them finger licking good rice cereal with applesause, yeah i know applesuase defeats it, but thats how they eat it.
