I read somewhere that one way to cure biting, crabbing and other undesireable behaviors in young gliders is to give them a little diluted beer. Naturally I thought this was crazy, but I tried it and believe it or not it works. The gliders calmed down and there were absolutely no side effects. I'm thinking of trying this on my girlfriend !

I don't think that's such a great idea. Beer isn't made for gliders! Getting a glider drunk (so what if it is a little beer! They're tiny!) may make them so tipsy they don't bite but, for cryin' out loud!... it just really doesn't seem like a good idea. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, cause I truly don't think I am, but it is dangerous to start exsperimenting with something like that. How much did you give? What is it dilluted with? Water?

Buzz, I am sure that I speak for most of the people here in saying your suggestion is insane and inhumane!! Besides the fact that you post a poisonous cure for crabbing, you post it twice in this web site! I hope you were kidding in using it on your gliders as well as that smug comment about your girlfriend. We take our glider's health seriously here, so do not bother trying to be funny if that is your intent. Otherwise, use your wording in a different context.

GO JIM! Buzz I second that motion, NOT FUNNY!!! Do you know how many young people read this bored lookin for info and ways to handle their new pets! What an irresponsible and insane comment but hey if you keep it up you probably wont have a girlfriend long enough to worry about it!

OK my last post was made in a fit of anger, let me try diplomacy, It is common knowledge what alchohol will do to any animal, including humans destroys liver, stomache linings, causes heart problems.....need I go on? your glider is so small the damage would be enormous no matter how small an amount. I suggest that if you havent the time or patients to work with your glider instead of looking for an easy shortcut maybe you should find him a new home.
