'Aight, here's the deal. I've got three males in one cage unneautured and brothers from the start. But since a couple of days ago one of the males started mounting his own brother. I saw the genitalia so it couldn't be a dominance thing since this also was going on for several days. The little one being under screamed and gave up a real fight for several days. After that he seems to have lost his powers. Well, then this odd behaviour stopped. Now as soon as they see eachother the king of rapping "chatters" and the poor little stud are first "hissing". The raping has stoped but now they seems to got married or something. Whats up really? Could it be a female that developed a little bald spot against nature or what's really going on? First we got the raping for several days, real raping with genitalia, no holding down dominance. Then they got really friendly and the little female-male glider that first got raped are now not moving very much. Are always staying in his wooden-home, but he are very often making that "hissing"-noise, as soon as he does, the bad raping fellow comes in a rush and "chatters". What's going on in my big bird cage?

Are you sure that they are both males? You may have to neuter them. They are NOT raping each other! They are showing dominance. How old are they? You may have to separate them if the lowest male in the dominance ladder is miserable and can't leave the nest. Do all 3 males have little buttons on their bellies?

They got big big buttons on their bellies! But shouldn't females also have those large "buttons"?

GET THEM NEUTERED< AND GET THE RAPED MALE OUT RIGHT NOW< he could die if you do not....This is both a dominance issue and a pecking order so to speak but they will keep him away from the food, and the stress will kill him............Please let me know what you have done....You sound like you could use a little reading up on gliders....
