Can you tell me if a female goes thru a cycle or heat? This morning in the bottom of my cage was blood and I am not sure what it was from. My male was acting strange and the female has always been mean. My male is so sweet. I fed them Ledbeters for the first time. Needless to say they didn't eat it last night. (Guess I need to get them used to it.)

i have never seen blood from my girl...so if i were you i would get that checked out...was it a lot of blood? did you check them both for any cuts?

That does not sound good. Is your cat a hunter?? I have raised gliders nearly 5 years and have not found blood in the cage. I would check the gliders out very carefully to make sure one is not injured. (How was your male acting "strange?")

I looked them both over and found nothing. The blood was on the bottom of the cage, as though someone had a feather and lightly touched the paper. The male has been on the female'a back, but not mating. He has become very protective of her. Everything seemed okay for the past two days. I cut their nails yesterday, just incase they were a little too sharp.
