I just found this board and thought I'd intoduce myself. I'm Suzanne, I'm married w/ 3 kids, 2 dogs, and my Taz. I got Taz and his 'brother' Kemo on the 16th of Dec. On Dec. 24th I lost Kemo. I did my research (so I thought)but found out too late that my boys were taken from mom too early. I found out they were 3 wks OOP and just weaned. Well I had and still have Taz on BML. Taz loves his BML, grapes, apples, applesauce, hawaiian delight. He doesn't like veggies, mealworms, or crickets. Taz is getting bigger and he plays all the time, when he's up.. lol. How can I get him to eat more veggies and insects? I've tried putting applesauce on them, he just licks it off and turns his head. Thanx in advace for any ideas.. Suzanne and Taz

Guess what? Gliders are not weaned at 3 weeks OOP. It is usually at least 6 weeks after they have opened their eyes which is generally 7-10 days OOP. Most gliders have to be introduced to mealies by breaking the mealie open and getting the innards on your gliders mouth so he can taste it. That is usually all it takes...Most gliders will not pass up a mealworms...Not to worry about the veggies - there aren't too many mine will eat.
