I don't like messing with crickets, so I just buy them....However, mealworms are very, very easy to raise. If you'd like to know how email me

(there are 2 dashes before the "x" for my e-mail. Breeding is MUCH cheeper.
1)Spread a layer of potting soil 1/2 to 1 1/2 in. in the bottom of a fish tank/bowl
2)Put in a batch of mature crickets
3)Feed them on fruit They will lay eggs tn the soil.

After crickets become adults, they lay eggs very soon.
It takes about 2 weeks to hatch, but they will be small at this time.
Make sure to cover the container tightly!!

how do you know you have mature crickets, when they churp does that mean that they are mature, Does feeding them fruit make the difference in rather they lay eggs or not? and how many crickets should you have to be sure that they are laying eggs, I have four adult gliders one joey and two more joeys on the way so I go through lots of crickets, I would apreciate any more info you can give me on this breeding thing, thanks
