just to update...my gliders' babies went to their new home last week and are doing great.eating running around..generally acting like gliders should...their new mom says the boy wont stop crabbing but she is determined to win his heart and has been takinghim everywhere trying to get him accostomed to her and their new home..thanks guys for giving me that extra push to realize that they were ready to go and that i was just being a paranoid mom..they seem to be doing well and probably dont even miss me frown

It sounds like you did the right thing, dagny. I'm sure everything will be just fine. I haven't had to deal with having to part with babies, but I'm sure it would have been hard for me to deal with too. I think all "moms" are a little paranoid. If we weren't, then I would worry. Take care..

It sounds like your joeys got a good home, dagny, so don't worry. I know how you feel! There are still a couple of joeys (long since gone) that I wish I still had. When I get a chance to see them (and I do) they still make a mad dash for under my shirt, so I think they still recognize me...it's hard cuz I still miss 'em.

Glad to hear that you gave them a good home smile. That must have been hard. My Nuba is going to have joeys oop any day now and I don't think I'm giving them away or selling them. I do plan to keep them. Although these wouldn't be her first babies, they are mine and just don't think I could bare to let them go. I plan on getting Nero neutered though since she apparently has been bred a whole lot from the previous owner and I don't want to stress out her body anymore than need be. At least you can see them once in a while since it's a friend of your who got them smile Take care and let us know how they're doing with their new owner. raspberry wink

i wish i could have kept them...but as it is i have around 20 animals...and it wasnt exactly a planned pregnancy ( a store owner told me he was giving me a girl to be a buddy for the girl i already had...after looking at "Her" i said are you sure this is a girl..it looks like a boy to me..he said of coarse it is a girl! within weeks we were preggers.... luckily i have the next best thing to keeping the babies..knowing they went to a grerat home (and i get to visit whenever i want)

How they can tug, huh? Spend a little extra time with your old gliders and lavish a few extra treats on them... Sublimation is just a substitute for the real thing, but it is a healthy way to handle your loss. Yes, it is a real loss to you, and good training for when and if you have human babies some day! wink raspberry smile
