After taking time to be mad, read the posts and post myself i had to step back and do some thinking on this chat situation and these are my thoughts. First and foremost this is Erics site and as has been stated several times he does have the right to run it as he sees fit, we have no say in that. Now a few things have come up over the 18+ room and although we have had a ton of fun in there and got to be roudy, that is not what i believe was Erics intention when he gave it to us. I believe he gave it to us as a place to go to talk gliders without the trouble of the kids, i for one did not give it much thought when other topics came up if it was just some of us regulars but the room was definitly abused by myself as well as others. There is no reason why we cant make a chat off this site for the bunch of us to gather and have fun and just let this site be what it is here for and that is the gliders. I know that those of us that gather here have the common interest and love of gliders that is how most of us met so lets keep that interest and love alive here. We have a lot to offer the glider community both vetrans and newbies and i want to see us all working together for the good of the gliders again please! Also i want to apologize for any part i may have played in getting the chat closed.

After reading kit's message, I feel that I have to add my thoughts. I agree that the chat room should be used for the initial intention - glider chat. Speaking from the perspective of a newbie, it has been an invaluable tool. I hope the mistakes of a few people hasn't ruined it for everybody. My apologies for not "seeing the light" sooner.

Jennie and I were hoping to chat tonight about our Snitch's death, and were sorry that our friends were not available. These things go through phases I guess. I hope it all gets worked out.
