I just purchased a pair of sugar gliders and two times my cat went up to sniff them, and he ran away and threw up both times. Has anyone ever heard of such a thing or have any idea why this is occurring????

Is this a previously "only child" kitty who hasn't seen much of this world? Or maybe your cat has a hairball and it is coincidence? We have two cats, and had nothing of this type of bahavior in ours. Hopefully, your cat will get accustomed to the newcomers soon. It always takes patience for everyone to adjust. By the way, we make sure the cats are either outdoors or locked in a bedroom before we get our gliders out. They are hunters... 'nuff said...

Is it possible that your cat has allergies? It would not be unheard of if this is the case, even though this appears very weird. Are your gliders male?
