The cage I have for my Gizmo is about 5 feet tall and 3 feet in width. I know it is plenty big for him, but the wire whole spacings of the cage are 1" x 1". I read that they should be 1/2" x 1". Is mine too big?????????????

I would say the cage openings are definitely too large. My general rule is: if the head will fit through the opening, then the body will definitely follow. Have you had any problem with escape yet?

keep in mind you don't want to get the head through and then stuck! though i don't know of that happening...it's something to think about though.

The wire at 1"x1" is definitely too big a spacing. (You might as well not have a cage because the glider can get out without even trying!) If the wire is more that 1/2" in spacing the glider not only can, but will get loose.
