There are many diets listed on Bourbon's index found here:

I don't have a day by day chart but do have a pretty good list of things to use in a fresh diet at my website:

I think the chart would be a good idea for someone knowleadgeable to put together. Just my opinion ya'll. I think it would help some of us newbies get a better idea of the balanced diet for them. I know the numbers, but to me math is not easy and I don't get it.

I talked with Ms.Shell las night and she helped oodles! Thanks Shell. I think the chart would be nice.

Toodles,
Kit

It would be nice to see a chart of what the exact ratios of Ph:Ca, lipid (fat), protein, sodium, etc, that is in the modified leadbeaters. I know when my vet asked me why I thought this leadbeaters was good, I just stood there without an answer. Does anyone know of any site or anything that better explains the health benefits of the Modified leadbeaters? Thanks ;)

If you feed bourbons leadbeaters then you need to feed insects, fruit, and veggies every day.

ok diet charts are simple...the most important is leadbeaters everynight...then one night the fruits another the veggies just alternate the extras so that you know they are getting some of each thing they need, and make your own chart so ypu have a type of schedule to follow.it is allways good to have something like that for emergencies if someone else had to feed them for you then they could just look at the chart for that night and know what to give them so its not only easier for you it is there just in case.. smile

But to keep it evened out right, wouldnt you give them leadbeaters every night as well as small amount of fruit, and small amount of Vegie's , and small amount of protien? Rather than veggies one night and fruit the next? From all the research i have been doing , they need a little bit of all the groups, every night. Have i misunderstood?

You are correct Tina they need the leadbeaters every night with fruits and veggies. They do not needed added protien...but they do need some insects. The insects provide protien...but they are not just used for protien.

what else are the insects for other than protien I thought that they need extra protien with the leadbeaters and that is why we feed the insects?
I have been worried that my picky male that won't eat insects was not getting enough protien. He does eat the leadbeaters though so...... so confusing. I think alternating the fruits and veggies is a good idea for the fact that gliders are picky and eat what they want and if they don't have a choice they will eat what they have. I have started mixing the leadbeaters with there fruits and veggies because they will not eat both only one or the other.... so I thought that putting them together as they eat fruits and veggies they also eat the leadbeaters because the fruits and veggies are coated with it. sound like an okay idea to ya'll?
