Most gliders bite because they think you are food. Be sure to wash your hands before you handle you gliders and let them know that biting you is unacceptable. Do not feed them treats by hand.

Because I gave my glider treats by hand (licky treates) I now have a glider that loves to lick me and never bites me. From what I have seen most gliders bite if they are scarred. Giving your glider licky treats helps the glider to get used to your hands and not fear them.

Absolutely feed your gliders by hand every chance you get, otherwise how in the world will they ever learn that your hands are nothing to fear. Teaching them that biting is unacceptable is entirely different than getting them to trust your touch. Jesse & Luke - start getting those gliders to trust your touch, if you have one
