My husband and I are wanting to buy a sugar glider and we have both read all about their cages, toys, diet, etc. What I havent't found though, is whether or not one sugar glider can be equally bonded with two different people such as my husband and I both. Thanks for all of the replies!!!

I talked with a guy at the pet store in my town while looking at supplies about this. He has 3 gliders. He said that yes, they can bond with more than one person, but you both have to handle him/her equally. If your husband spends more time with it, then.....You get the idea. Just like a dog. His gliders are fond of him and his mom.

Our two gliders are bonded with both my husband and me. Our female tends to prefer me, and our male tends to prefer him, but they are affectionate and playful with us both.

My 2 female gliders are bonded to both my husband and me---I tend to be the snuggler and my husband is the one they go to when they want to romp around and play, but both gliders are bonded to both of us equally well.

Gliders can deffinitly bond to multiple people...however generally the person who spends the most time with them will be more bonded. They will play with both people but when they get scarred theire is one person they will notmally run to. In order for two people to eqyally bond then you would have to split the varuois thigns in half. Like every other day this person feeds them..every other day this person carries them. Its not just playtime.

as Mary said they tend to bond more with the main caregiver, however i don't mess with Smokey much at all as he is my hubby's glider, the bond they have is different than the bond I have with mine, but it is one that they are both happy with
