I know sugar gliders are nocturnal and they are most active at night, but I was wondering if they ever come out to play during the day. There are almost 12 hours of "Day" and humans only require 8 hours to sleep so do sugar gliders ever wake up to play? Thanks, Kim

They do not normally wakje up and play at all durring the day. The only way they do that is if someone has gotten them up a lot durring the day to play. Do not wake your glider up to play durring the day if you ever want to pocket/pouch train.

Their natural cycle is sleep during day/play at night. This is the way G O D made them and few have succeeded in changing this. Why not just work on waking them a little earlier at night so you can have your playtime with them. It usually isn't too hard to get them to awaken around 9 PM if you work with them for a while. Just make sure the room is very dark so they will think it is nighttime ;)
