I feed my worms in the morning so that he will eat his other food at night. I feed 3 or 4 a day. If he doesn't eat them all in the morning then I offer again in the early evening when we come home.

My adult gliders get 4-6 and juevinile Woodie gets 3-4.
I feed mine at night along with fruits and veggies and there is never ANYTHING left in the morning.
Hope this helps.

My glider is a Juevinile. He is only about 6 months. So I will just feed him 3-4 mealies each night. I dont think he will need anymore than that. Thanx a mill.!

In have to post this every time I see people say that. How many people have a fat glider? Not many..if they are fat its probably from high fat treats not mealworms. Some people feed 12 mealworms a day per glider with no fat issues.

In addition to... what Mary said, this is topic That has been discussed, run over, thrown about and tossed out so many times, yes I do have on my page they are high in fats, they are... however; a glider would have to eat a BUNCH of them every day for this to be considered an issue. I have seen people offer 20 mealies or more, but then complain their glider isn't eating their other food. Courtney, your glider is 6 months oop? then he is pretty close to being grown. you can offer him the 4-6 you can break that up during the day if you feel more comfortable with that.. As with Mary I also feed mine in the morns, that is "hubbys time" so he needs great treats.. smile also things that need to be considered is the size of the mealies. the smaller ones of course can be more. you have to be the judge on the right time to feed the mealies based on his eating habits, his regular food is as important as the insects, so if he replaces one with the other you need to allocate his schedule to accomadate it. Good luck

I have been fallowing all this diet stuff, so I feed my gliders 4-6 mealies a day in the morning I wake them up after they have gone to sleep and I know they won't eat anymore of there other food and then I give them mealies. They draw blood trying to rip them out of my hand as fast as they can!! They love them I think they would not stop eatting them if I did not stop feeding them!!!! smile

My gliders all love mealies too. I give atleast 4-6 per glider usually 3-4 times per week and use them for treats the other days. Also, Bourbon showed us that they love lots of other bugs too. When she was here, she taught my son to catch moths outside at the light as well as june bugs and skeeter eaters.....man they love the outside bugs. hehehe raspberry
