Does your glider sleep durring the day? Since you got them from a petstore they may get up duting the day. Your glider has to sleep all day if you wnat to take them places with you. Pin your glider pouch to the inside of you shirt. Wear this around anytime you are at home. Do not ever leave the house with the glider unless you are sure it will stay in the pouch sleeping. This page will help you out a lot: http://www.angelfire.com/nb/sugarglider/bonding.html

also key thing is do not even try this if this glider does not trust your hands, you need to build a trust so this glider sees you as it's "safe zonee" when it gets scared, you need to be sure the place it runs to is you and NO where else.
