What is this sound? it sounds like a VERY loud teeth chattering.. usually accompanied by a hiss after wards. My female is making this noise, and it seems she makes it more and more every day.

Is she doing it when another glider gets close..or when you get close...is she doing it when she gets a favorite treat? Some gliders hcatter more than others...it just means they are very happy or excited..it may not be a person it may be a food or a new toy or something.

Ok wonderful thank you! She really seems to be doing it when she is out of her cage. When it is play time. And i thought maybe it was something she was doing for the joeys in pouch. Some times, most time actually, it is followed by a hiss sound. I didnt know that it was an excited sound, that makes me very happy to know !!!! also i have noticed she does it to her companion. My male, and me when we are playing. Im glad it is a good sign!

My female glider makes the chatter hiss noise about one day a month and I think it means that she is in heat. Try hissing back to yours, mine gets very excited and answers back to me!
