Okay guys, I had not been on all day today and evidently missed some of what happened on the thread I posted about the rescues I have. I guess I should clear a few things up. Okay...the money that I receive is by no means any profit. I have spent much much more on these guys on vet visits as well as treatments, cages, pouches, dishes, water bottles, food etc: The money I would receive from these guys will go towards helping other gliders and yes Jane...I agree with you 100%....towards neutering the males. Anyone who actually contacted me would know that a portion of the money would go to neutering the male before they go to the homes. All of the gliders came to me with joeys in pouch, so I didn't have a choice about that. Also, just since some here seem to be so curious, some of the rescues, I had to purchase, they were not given to me. Also, Kitara, I would never just send them to some internet freak for lunch.....I have an interview form that people have to be able to answer before I would ever consider placing them. And I have worked with these guys and all of them are tame with the exception of one pair that I am having problems with, they do no bite, but they still run from me in the cage. Those guys will stay until they are tame or if there is some kind soul out there who has had experience and can offer then a wonderful home, then I would consider placement of those 2. I was only trying to do something good for some pretty sad gliders. Thanks for hearing me out, Carolyn Angie and Toni, thanks for the words of encouragement. Also, thanks Jane for posting appropriatley too.

I just gave some things to think about. My heart goes out to your gliders and I hope the best for them. Kitara

about 3 months ago, they just kind of fell into my lap and I could not turn them away. I am currently not able to take anymore until I can get these placed. I have a full house. Also, just so you know, I am negotiable on the price, even though it is a great price for gliders. I truely do want to find them good homes, but the money is important only to help the others and to get the males neutered. How long have you had your gliders Kitara?

I got my first glider 4.5 years ago and still have her today. This is my second year with rescues. Can you pet or pick up your rescues?

Kitara, that is great about still haveing your first glider. I can both pet and pick them up now. I work with them every day. Like I said, there is only one pair that are not friendly, and they don't bite or anything, they are still just very scared and the run from me, but they will take a treat from my hands. They are very sweet gliders....all of them, even the lil scared pair.
