Now I am no expert, but I think that since nuts are high in fat, they are to be a rare treat. My glider loves them, so when I give him one, I leave it in the shell with a crack in it. It takes him days to dismantle it.

Ahh pecans, what glider would not love to have this as a main part of their diet. I give my gliders each one a week and they practically drool in anticipation. They are definitely high in fat, but as an occasional treat they are great. Also I give almonds which are high in protein and lower in fat 2-3 times a week as a treat. Angie ;)
