what should a pouch be made of? I went to the pet store to look at small animal bags and couldn't find anything that looked the right size... I don't know what type of material it should be made out of either. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Kris... ICQ Me! #81043773

For sleeping pouches I use the ferret pouches..they are rather big but they still like them.

I use quilted material lined with either fleece or sherpa (lambs wool like stuff) for cage pouches. Also, flanel is great as it is soft and cozy. Denim is nice to and holds up quite well. Anyway, cotton materials are best cause polyester type stuff can be easy for nails to get caught in.

I was givin the advise to use a fanny pack. You put a few metal eyelets in it for ventalation, and they will make their own nest in it. Also, You can strap it to the inside of your cage door, and just take it off to wear it for your daytime bonding.

I use a Crown Royal bag sometimes for mine. Their nails don't get stuck in it and it is roomy enough for the two of them. I only use it to put them in it for a couple of hours though, it is not their "home."

I like the flannel or fleece myself. I think it wears the best.
