Subject: Picking at self after surgery

Hi everybody,

I had one of my males neutered today. I just called the vet to go pick him up and she said that he had already started to pick at himself a little bit. She told me that I should give him a drop of children's benadryl to make him sleepy. Has anyone tried this before? Is there anything else I can do for him to make sure he doesn't pick at himself?
