Its a rodent... and a fairly large one that looks a little like a chin (i think) but feels more like a guin. pigger when you pet it.
They're people pets if handled on a regular basis - but they dont crave the interaction that a glider does.

a rodent, I consider them very large rats, but they aren't rats. I don't think. but they are rodents.

They look kinda like a rat and gerbil but are much cuter. They had some at the petstore I went to, and they were brown and kinda fat. I tried to pick one up, but they wouldn't stay still. Anyway they look like a big gerbil.

a degu is of the gerbil family. it is in fact considered more of a gerbil than a gerbil is! i found that out when working at a pet store.
