What I try to do when I introduce a new glider is to make sure that everything is thoroughly cleaned out, sometimes even getting a new cage or switching (using a clean cage that housed other gliders). I put the new glider in first and let him adjust - a couple of hours, maybe. Then I introduce the old glider. My reason for doing this is that gliders can be territorial. What I do puts them on a more even keel. There are times when gliders just won't get along - just like some people won't. Be sure to ask the breeder you get your new animal from if you can exchange it if they do not get along. A reasonable breeders should be willing to work with you. (I had one glider - F - that would not get along with 3 males until we got to BOOBOO. They did get along; he was the only one she would accept.

If you decide to get a baby male, wait until he is about 3/4 her size. This way there is no bullying going on. Here is a link to a page with intoductions tips: http://www.angelfire.com/nb/sugarglider/tips/intros.html

That was me in the post above. It usually does all that for me...I've been spoiled I guess.

Not all gliders want a glider friend. Take your female with you to the breeders house and let her decide if she wants a new friend. If they get along there you will peobably have no rpoblems with them getting along at home.
