Hi,
I know this is not a big deal but, I took my baby out last night in her pouch, and she let me pet the back of her head for a little bit. I was soo excited. Is this a break through of any kind? And she only crabbed for a minute, but it wasnt really at me, just when I was moving the pouch around. BUT she still didnt eat. She only took a couple licks of her yogurt, and drinks her water all the time. Whats w/that? I'd think it was good, but who knows! How long can she go w/out eating a decent meal? I know she will probably eat grapes, but I dont want to make her sick with only grapes. I dont understand, for the first 2 days she ate like a piggy! What happened??? Anyone?!

Linda, hi! My Winky is not eating well either, therefore, not pooping and peeing well either. I took her to the vet. He did a check up and gave me some medicine to give her every 12 hrs. He also gave me some gliderade/ she LOVES it! I was so relieved to see her gulping it down. Also, he told me to buy some live crickets and BOOST them. Meaning, put them in a slippery container (so they don't escape, like a fish bowl or plastic hamster carrying cage.) These are all available at Pet Smart. You buy the crickets food, specially made for 'em! and a water based jellie for them to drink and won't drown. Keep them like that for around 4 days. Then, feed your baby a few of them. She's not eating her Leadbeaters, but I offer it to her anyways. Sometimes I add apple sauce, sometimes I squeeze a piece of orange in it... I'll just keep trying. Try giving your baby licky treats, like baby food. Make sure it only contains the fruit/ veggie plus water. (no onions, etc..) I'm still learning and I don't give up! Sorry this is SOOOO LONG, but I hope it helps!
