Hey everyone! I wanted to tell you that I got my male glider this evening! Woo-hoo! He'll be my first glider though and he is just a baby (around 6 weeks old). If you have any tips then I would GREATLY appreciate them. And if you have any ideas on what I should name him then share them please... As of now his name is Techno unless I can come up with something better... Thanks a ton! Love yas!

Congratulations! The more time you spend with your new baby, the faster he'll bond. I'd take him with me in a pouch every day, feeding him treats when he's in the pouch with you. If you haven't already gotten Caroline MacPherson's book SUGAR GLIDERS, it is a must have reference book. Make sure you're feeding your glider an adequate diet, keeping in mind that they are as individual as you and I. I've just read where other gliders will eat cooked yams; mine won't BUT they cannot get enough if it raw. Good luck.

Congratulations! One concern I have is his age...he really should be 8-9 weeks old before being taken away from his parents so he knows how to eat on his own.

Please post if you have any problems.

Thanks guys! I'm trying to bond with him as much as I can but he keeps crabbing at me... Even when walk in the room he starts crabbing! I think it's just because he's scared though.... I love the name Skyler, but he doesn't look like a Skyler.... Thanks for the ideas...
