I just got home from school and I went down stairs to play with my sugar glider and after about 6 minutes it got up I let it lose and it went under my bed when I went to go check on it it jumped on my face it got its claws caught in my lip so I had to pull him off he scratched my face up do you know if this is bad?

It sounds to me like your glider was ready for some playtime. When you stuck your face underneath the dark bed in all probability you scared him badly and he reacted in the only way he knew how.
I doubt that he meant to actually hurt you. He was just trying to protect himself from something very scarey.

One thing I have noticed about sugar gliders ... When the see their owners they like to come running, but they usually wait until you look right at them before jumping to you smile And end up jumpin right on on your face smile I do not think you should worry, I think your glider was just happy to see you smile
