I live in Canada. I think that USDA stands for U. S. Department of Agriculture. If this is so, does it just effect the U. S.? Do you have to have a lisence in Canada?

US in USDA does stand for United States. I don't know about Canada - try checking with your agriculture department there.

I thought I read that gliders were legal in all of Canada. There are lots and lots of breeders also so I don't think it's the case. And I know you weren't sure.

Hi, What part of Canada are you from?? I a from Calgary. I wanted to find gliders and I found a breeder in Edmonton, but they were asking, what i thought too much. A year later after I was done all my research I found a breeder from a place near Vancouver who offered personal delivery and wanted less so I bought from there. Gliders are legal as far as I know and I own two, but I would check where you are. There are breeders but I found a hard time finding one. Please email me and let me know where you are and I will try to help you. Katie

I live in Ontario and there are lots of breeders here (I found about 7 or so, 2 close to where I live.) I'm going to go to a breeders place and ask them.

Why don't you try contacting Caroline MacPherson...She lives in Canada and might be able to help you....Do you have her book? Mine's out in the car or I'd check it out for you...At any rate, if you do not have the MacPherson book SUGAR GLIDERS, it is a must have for any glider owner.

I want the book for Christmas. I will try contacting her, or a breeder in Ontario through email.
