Just a quick warning to all, new owners especially!
Recently one of my friends called me very upset, his pregnant female was found drowned in the toilet durring her play time. apperantly she jumped to the toilet bowl and fell inside and couldnt get out. He is heartbroken.
i was telling another friend who has two females recently, and the same thing happend to BOTH of his girls. BUT he found them in the nick of time! he said they were so exhausted when he pulled them out they just layed on the towel in his lap for hours.. they are fine now, thank god!
so to all; PLEASE REMEMBER TO SQUIRLE PROOF THEIR PLAY AREAS! CLOSE ALL DRAINS, AND SMALL HOLES THEY CAN HURT IN, AND ESPECIALLY PUT THE LID DOWN!
i hope this saves others from the grief my friend is going thru smile

toilet drownings are the number one cause of accidental deaths, next in line are due to unsupervised playtime/ not putting the glider in the cage at night.

don't ever underestimate the agility of your gliders they can squeeze their bodies through a hole less than 1 inch round/square,

wonderful gliderproofing page that has been built by many people, and yes again I forgot to update it,
