I have two gliders and a large cage for them to live and play in. I recently orderd a wodent wheel online after reading about how much gliders get out of them for fun and exercise. The problem is that my gliders don't even seem to notice that it's there in their cage. I've got in on the floor of the cage at the moment because there aren't any shelves on which to place it higher up. Any ideas anyone?? How can I get my gliders to play in their wodent wheel???

it could be because it is on the ground, or they just don't know what it is. I took my gliders a while to figure it out. I put mine on by turning the stand upside-down and hanging the triangle part on the top of the cage and sticking the pole through the cage so that i attach the wheel part inside the cage..get what im saying? it should fit that way.

Just be patient: It does take the gliders awhile to get used to the wheel. Mine is on the floor of the cage, and they use it just fine. (I did notice that the joeys use the wheel more than the older gliders.) They started to use the wheel slowly, but no they really GO FAST, then they'll stop suddenly on a dime. Sometimes there are as many as three in the wheel, so it goes nowhere. Just give the gliders time...they will use the wodent wheel!
