I just have gotten my first glider! What a cute creature. He is 6 months and not tamed.I would like to tame him.I was wondering how is the best way to start to do this. He has been taken food from my hand with no problem.I really don't want to take him out of the cage yet.I am afraid he will get away and will be afraid of not knowing where he is since he is in a new home.Any help will be apperciated!Thank you.

raspberry My brother and I have had 2 smile for about 2 months. He's 19 & I'm 13 so there for he tries to take full controll. He thinks I don't know what I doing but I do, He's the one who doesn't. Well N* E* ways I was scared of the same thing too, but one day I relized that if she doesn't get used to the room now then why wait cause the longer you wait she still won't be used to it. Well I let her play around every other day and she is used to the room much better now. My brother on the other hand well he hasn't realy got his out to get used to the room, so one day I tried to get his out and get it used to the room, but it kept making that car starting sound, so i put it back in. I took him out a couple more times, but he basicly does the same thing. Well the answer to your question is to start now and get it used to the room instead of waiting for ever, and making it harder. Sorry this was long, but I hope that my info helped. Stacy

go to the links section of this website, the first link you should see is Bourbon's. Click on that link, there is a ton of information on that site and there is also specifically a bonding page. Just one trick that I learned there was to get an old t-shirt you don't like and wear it to sleep a couple of nights in a row and then put it in your gliders cage. This way your smile will get used to your scent.
