my glider LOVES to chew on anything and everything. he nibbles me, but never hard, he just kind of gums me and goes on his business. my question is, i know that there are wood chew toys (treats?) that people give hamsters, would they be safe for gliders? I know some of them are flavored, so i dont know if thatd be safe, but i thought id ask. if these aret safe, are there any chew toys that ARE safe for gliders. i know hed love them.

Unlike many other animals, glider teeth do not continue to grow necessitating the need for hard chew items. It would surprise me if they would even take any interest in the chew toys found on the market.
What I would suggest, is getting fresh fruit tree branches to put in the cage. They love to climb on them and "shred" the bark from the branches. Since they will become stinky, you can then throw them away and replace with new ones.
You can also get the hard wood bird branches that screw to the cage for them to climb on.

thanks, i just thought that since he likes to nibble on everything else, hed like that. i have the bird branches, but im going to get some fruit branches in the spring for him. thanks for the idea.

Are you saying that any type of fruit tree is ok ? I have some orange and grapefruit trees around here, can I use those too?
