My Babys will be in thier nest and i will suddenly hear this noise.. like a loud knocking noise, kind of fast.. what is this?

Ok, why is my girl hissing? i was playing with the boy across the room and she was hissing really loud.. i look over and she isnt doing any thing... just looking like she was going to make a jump.. no big deal.. then me and the boy walked over to her and she was just standing there hissing at nothing... why does she do this? She is doing it alot lately.... not to any particular person.. only person she does it to is her mate.. or to the thin air... strange... she is mommy.. with 2 in her pouch... could she be making this noise to them?
