Why did it have to happen now? I'm still in the "bonding process" and I can't get near her. What should I do? My fiance plays w/ her and feeds her. I talk to her from far. I miss carrying her around.  Does anyone think this "separation" will affect her?

It could but just go back to spendiong as much time with her as you can when you get better. This will give her a chnace to bond somw with your boyfriend.
