she's not even a year old, and she's a little scared tonight (her first night with me). Is there anything I can do to make her more comfortable? I carry her around in a fanny pack during the day, and she seems to enjoy that, but tonight she's curled up in her little sleeping pouch. She didn't eat anything. I'm hoping this will all pass - if any of you have suggestions, I'd love to hear them. Thanks!

well if you want her to feel more comfortable around you I suggest that you wear a shirt all day and all night, then they next day put the shirt in the sugar gliders cage or on top of the cage. This way your glider will get used to your smell. P.S- Whats her name? I would love to her more about her and how things are going in the first week or so.

Thanks everyone, the shirt idea is a great one. Her name is Gizmo and she is absolutely wonderful! I just left my husband a couple of months ago and had to leave my daughter's new puppy with him. She's 3 and misses her dog very much. I got Gizmo because first of all I fell head over heals in love with her and secondly because she is the perfect pet for us right now. My daughter is with her dad this weekend, she doesn't know about Gizmo yet .... I can't wait to introduce her to her tonight! I'm so glad I found you all!

Is your new glider a baby? How big is he/she?
It just takes some time spent with him/her...I bought a baby and about a month after that I bought a really tame adult Sugar Glider to keep the baby company and now they are both Very friendly, playful and social. Getting the adult has made a HUGE difference! wink
