I have been breeding two pairs of sugar gliders for just under a year now and have had many babies. I have a male who I am having nuetered (I have wanted to have him nuetered for months but couldn't find find a vet who was sugar glider knowledgable). We finally have a very good vet who knows what he is doing and I want to have my boy nuetered. My question is, if I have him nuetered (now please be patient with me), would it be possible to mate the female with the non-nuetered male from the other pair, but let her live with the nuetered male who is her mate? The female used to live with the other male and female (was a trio when I didn't know better) and they do get along. The reason I want the one male nuetered is because he goes absolutly crazy with scent marking and he is a little agressive. I am hoping that he will be a better daddy when he is nuetered. Any helpful comments would be appreciated.

Welllll, I also had a trio before I knew better. It's amazing what we can learn through this board.
Lucy and Charlie Brown would mate, but then Charlie Brown would become extremely ABUSIVE. I also had a male Linus who is so laid back it is funny.
I found that by switching the males after breeding it worked out great. Lucy and happier and Charlie Brown seemed to prefer being along once the mating process was over.
This worked for me, but I'm not sure it would be a possibility for you since you have two pairs. How do you think the other female would accept the other male?

I am anxious to see the answer to this question myself. I have been thinking of having Jasper neutered and put him back in with Jules.
