I just found out that my glider 'joey' is eight months old. I haven't seen her yet, but was wondering: Is she still considered a joey at eight months?? I'm afraid that she won't bond to me as well!!!!??!?

Depends on if she is social or not. At 8 months oop. she is almost an adult. If the person or breeder has spent a lot of time with her on a regular basis you will do fine with her. If not, it will take you longer to establish a bond. Key here is being patient with her.

are you sure its not 8 weeks?
that is usually when they are weaned. 8 months is entering adulthood for most glider females. Sometimes even 7 (its when they hit sexual maturity) Either way she will live a long time if taken care of properly. Age wont matter unless shes totally wild.

You need to find out how much she has been handled. When you go to the breeders house you should not see this glider biting or crabbing at all. If its been handled a lot then no big deal...but 8 months of no handling will make this glider harder to work with. I believe they are considered joeys until the have reached sexual maturity...some gliders do this at 9 months some at a year old...the general rule is they are an adult at a year old.
