How far do these travel when outside? I live outside of town and my cat just dropped one on the front step. Did someone release it free thinking it would adjust to the wild? This is in wisonsin. Thanks

You may have found a flying squirrel - which do live in the wild.

Can you post a photo - Flying Squirrels and Sugar Gliders look a lot alike but are VERY different critters and have very different nutritional needs.
