Had my glider for about 2 months, we were moving along in the bonding process and doing well, but then she got an abscess from food being stuck in her cheek. I got her to the vet as soon as I noticed something was off- he took great care of her and her swelling went down that night. He did have me give her antibiotics for 10 days with a syringe, and she HATED it. I mean HATED it. I felt like a terrible person but did the whole 10 days like the vet instructed. Today was the first day of not having to do it and its almost like she is anticipating it because every time I go near her she starts crabbing and trying to hide. I decided to leave her be for tonight, but does anybody know if she will gain trust back and how best to do this? TIA for any tips!

Just give her a little time. Once she is feeling better, and realizes you are finished torturing her, she will come around.
