You may be well intentioned, but you're blatantly disregarding their needs. In the wild, sugar gliders ALWAYS live in colonies of 2-7. NEVER alone.
No matter how much time you spend with your glider (and I'm assuming that you can't spend all night playing with him/her; this is the best quality time for a glider), it is not enough. He/she needs another of the same species. Just try to imagine if the situation were reversed, and you were never allowed access to humans in any way; just sugar gliders. No matter how much you like sugar gliders, you would get lonely and depressed, or at least very strange. Gliders have the same capacity for loneliness.
