To me, it seems you are doing everything right. However, how long is the cord you attached the pouch with on your neck. Maybe you were to close to him with your face. My gliders just HATE it when Iīm breathing in their faces. Itīs not because of the unbearable stench...lol...but because they just donīt like the feeling of air being blown in their face. Maybe you had him to close to you and breathed into the pouch even more when you tried to calm him with your voice and now he fears that youīll do it again.
I would give him treats in his pouch while constantly humming silently. First, this will stop him from screaming, because he canīt eat and scream at the same time. Second, and more important, it will let him associate your voice with good things. Maybe say one special "treat-word" over and over while feeding him.
