I know nothing personally about breeding. But the two books that I have both say that intense breeding will reduce the females vigor and not gie her time to to recover completely.
Their solutions: remove the male for a couple of months or remove the female for a short period if she has had 2-3 litters in a short period of time. (One mentions placing the female with other non-breeding females for a rest period.)
I don't know how many gliders you have, but I know my gliders get upset if one is out of the cage for just a few minutes. I can sure understand your concern about separating them. But from what I have been reading, having her birth litters every couple of months is a health danger also. (Unhealthy mom or unhealthy babies.)
Hopefully, someone with personal experience in this matter will answer.
