When I "rescued" my Bonita, she was returned by a man after he lost her in his house for two days with no food, she acted like what you are saying. She would lunge at me and "crab" constantly. I put a piece of clothing of mine in her bed and got her use to my scent. I also ALWAYS greeted her with a treat each time I opened her cage. I carried her around in the evenings.
Bonita actually became instantly sweet when I put a little "madman" (Loco) in the cage with her. He was a lunger and biter also. It was instant love and both of them get along with me great now.
Be patient and take it slow...
