Get on the phone again and call the United Satates Department of Agriculture in Maryland . They inturn will give you the # for the Georgia U.S.D.A , then go from there it should not cost more than a Ten dollar one time application fee for you to get the Exotic animal license.
: I am currently a resident of Maryland and have two sugar gliders who my fiance and I love dearly. Unfortunately, due to a family emergency we need to move to Atlanta. The problem is that as far as I can tell, after a very confusing 3 hour game of phone tag, Georgia requires a breeders license to own gliders. To get this I need to have an established breeding business, business lisence, etc and pay a 200+ fee.
: Does anyone know if this is correct? Is there a legal way around it or if not, how do I go about trying to get gliders legalized as pets?
: Any suggestions would be very welcome. We love our gliders and do Not want to have to sell them or give them away.
