when I placed a female that I purchased with joeys in the pouch with a male who was not the male parent they 'disappeared'. They have since had two successful pregnancies yielding 2 healthy joeys each. The main gist of the inquiry that I placed afterwards was that a male who was not the biological parent of the joeys would consume them as a course of nature, or even as a result of stress.
I would not advise ever purchasing a glider with joeys already in the pouch nor placing such a female with a male who is not the male parent of the pregnancy, in order to prevent joey loss.
