: Does anyone know how to get rid of the pesky fruit flys that constantly hang around my glider's cage? I pick their food up in the morning and only put it out at nightime. Is their anyway to kill them without hurting my babies? thankyou!

I make a real neat fruit fly trap. Take a clear plastic container, put your fruit trimmings into it, cover it with a clear cling wrap, puncture the cling wrap making tiny holes, three or four will do. This allows the fruit flies to smell their way in but they can't seem to find their way out. When you get ready to empty the trap either throw the whole thing away and start anew or place the trap in the freeze till all the flies are dead and then remove the wrap, throw the flies away, wash the container and fix it again.
