I do appreciate your concern which was a concern of mine also. Trust me the oldest one has spent many many hours on so many different glider websites. We have all learned alot about them and are still learning everyday. I understand the constant care that comes along with the gliders and so does he. It's going to be a family pet more so than just the kids pet. Also a very close friend of ours has 5 gliders and he has interacted with them for several ongoing months. We are all very sure this is what we want. We went through this same thing with our dog. We made sure it was something that we all could commit to and take care of for years to come. Any animal is just like a newborn baby; it takes a serious commitment and responsibility.
: I may be mistaken but have your kids really taken this seriously? gliders are a huge responsibility as large a one as having a baby. Please go to a link page and read all about the downsides. gliders are cute but they also have very sharp nails, can bite hard enough to make you bleed (often if they are untamed at first) and pee and poop on you for ever. They also smell to a certain degree. Would your kids be prepared to look after a new born baby? if not please do not get them a glider, these animals live for 15 years demanding constant attention for all that time. Please consider all I have said and more.
: : My kids have been on a mission for several months now inquiring about the cute little Sugar Gliders. They are now ready to be great friends to two gliders. We are in the Dallas/Ft Worth Area. This is part of their Christmas present but unfortunately the only one's I could find where at a pet store. Please help me make these two kids happy. My email address again is lyndac@uspersonnel.com
