There are about as many different opinions on this one as there are people. You pretty much have to go by the way that your gliders respond to each other. I recommend putting your gliders in cages near each other but at least 10 inches apart. This will prevent them from being able to grasp each others tails should one protrude from it's cage and the other want to be aggressive. This also allows them to see, smell, and talk to each other. You can also switch their sleeping nests during the day,,,allowing them further comfort and getting use to each others scent. Or if you use some type of cloth for their bedding you can just switch it out. When you get ready to introduce them to each other outside of the cages take them to a small but neutral room such as a bathroom and see how they react to each other. I have had some gliders that accepted a mate within 5 minutes of meeting them and put them together right away, then I have had others that would not accept my choice of a mate for them at all. Best of luck to you.
